How to install DCISM or ISM on a VMware ESXi host
1- Download ISM-Dell-Web-5.1.0.0-VIB-ESX7i-Live.zip or latest release from Dell Server iDRAC > iDRAC Service Module > Configure Service Module
2- Upload this ZIP file to tmp on ESXi host
3- Execute: esxcli software vib install -d "/tmp/ISM-Dell-Web-5.1.0.0-VIB-ESX7i-Live.zip"
4- Delete ISM-Dell-Web-5.1.0.0-VIB-ESX7i-Live.zip under /tmp
You don't need to reboot. Just wait… then go back to iDRAC Service Module and check ISM status.
