CloudLinux – Update MariaDB from 10.3 to 10.11

In order to update MariaDB on CloudLinux from 10.3 to 10.11, you need to perform the following tasks. 

  1.  Check MariaDB version 

    mysqladmin version

    Check MariaDB version


  2. Disable MariaDB outdated repository

    yum-config-manager –disable MariaDB103
  3. Update governor-mysql package

    yum update governor-mysql –enablerepo=cloudlinux*
  4. Upgrade MariaDB to version 10.6 with the help of these commands:

    /usr/share/lve/dbgovernor/mysqlgovernor.py –mysql-version=mariadb106

    /usr/share/lve/dbgovernor/mysqlgovernor.py –install
  5. Check MariaDB version after update 
    mysqladmin version

    Check MariaDB version after update

  6. Update MariaDB to version 10.11

    /usr/share/lve/dbgovernor/mysqlgovernor.py –mysql-version=mariadb1011

    /usr/share/lve/dbgovernor/mysqlgovernor.py –install
  7. Check MariaDB version after update 

    mysqladmin version

    mysqladmin version
