      1) Login into the NAS via SSH with an administrative user

      2) Elevate as root
          sudo -i

      3) Move to the folder /etc.defaults/
          cd /etc.defaults/

      4) Edit the synoinfo.conf file
               vi synoinfo.conf

      5) Change "support_disk_compatibility" from "yes" to "no"

      6) Save the file and reboot the NAS
